Venue hire & catering

We proudly offer the historical Caroline Bay Tearooms as our premium and unique full-service venue. We can't wait to sit down over a coffee and help you plan your day, your way.

• Buffet: Guests can serve themselves.
• Sit-down Plated Dinner: A formal dining experience where guests are seated and served a pre-selected meal, typically consisting of multiple courses.
• Family Style: Similar to a sit-down plated dinner, but with the main dishes placed in large serving bowls or platters on each table. Guests can help themselves to the dishes and pass them around.
• Canapé Reception: A more casual option where a variety of bite-sized appetizers, canapés, and drinks are served. 
• Brunch or Lunch: A daytime wedding option where lighter fare, such as breakfast items or lunch dishes, is served. 
• Dessert Table: Offering an array of sweet treats, cakes, pastries, and other delectable desserts.

We are proud to introduce our renovated 'Caroline Bay Tearooms"/ A historical feature in Timaru. We have upgraded the facility to make it a premium and magical venue for your function or wedding. With a licensed bar, kitchen facilities, and seating for up to 300, your function or reception is fully covered. The unique location allows you to literally walk out the door into one of Timaru's most popular and varied photographic environments - the bay itself.
